Chief Data and AI Architect (T6 Level)

Lead the visionary design and governance of department-wide AI and data solutions at Mercedes-Benz R&D India. As a key architectural leader, you will shape the future of mobility by building scalable data lakehouses and driving responsible AI adoption across global projects.

• Design and implement modern scalable data architectures including lakehouses, streaming, and APIs. Oversee end-to-end data ingestion and transformation processes across structured and unstructured sources. Partner with DevOps and Cloud teams to ensure platforms meet elite performance and security standards. Identify and evaluate high-impact AI/ML use cases from proof-of-concept to full production deployment. Define frameworks for AI governance, ethical guidelines, and model lifecycle management. Mentor cross-functional teams of engineers and analysts to promote a culture of technical excellence. Communicate complex architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business units.

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or AI. Minimum 10+ years of experience in data architecture or AI/ML solution design. Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data stacks like Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake. Strong knowledge of AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or SageMaker. Proven track record in leading enterprise data modernization or AI transformation programs. Excellent stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
