Production Operator - Chemical Pilot Plant

Join altM, a forward-thinking sustainable materials company, as a Production Operator for our pilot plant in Electronic City. You will play a crucial role in executing high-performance bio-chemical processes, transforming agricultural residues into innovative biomaterials.

• Operate pilot plant equipment including reactors, centrifuges, evaporators, and dryers according to SOPs Manage utility packages such as thermic oil systems, chillers, N2 generators, and cooling towers Load and unload biomass, solvents, and chemicals following strict safety guidelines Monitor and record process parameters like temperature, pressure, and pH levels in batch logs Perform Cleaning-in-Place (CIP), equipment changeovers, and basic troubleshooting of pumps and heat exchangers Handle solvent recovery, waste segregation, and effluent management as per environmental standards Maintain shop-floor housekeeping (5S) and assist the R&D team during experimental scale-up trials Operate DCS/PLC panels and maintain equipment logbooks with high accuracy

• ITI or Diploma in Chemical Technology, or B.Sc/M.Sc in Chemistry/Biotechnology 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Plant Operator in Pharma API, Specialty Chemicals, or Resin production Mandatory familiarity with DCS/PLC panel operations Ability to read and interpret batch sheets and basic P&IDs Physical fitness to work in shifts and handle manual plant tasks Basic computer proficiency in MS Office for record-keeping
