Job Summary:
Urgent hiring for a seasoned Fitter to join our metal recycling plant in Mundra. We are looking for a hands-on technical expert who can manage complex machine assembly and breakdown maintenance to ensure zero downtime. If you have 5+ years of solid experience in a manufacturing setup and can handle industrial tools with precision, this role is for you.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Execute precision fitting, assembly, and installation of various industrial machines and mechanical components.
Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across plant machinery to ensure smooth operations.
Analyze and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals for accurate repair work.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble heavy machinery for maintenance or relocation purposes.
Operate specialized hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment following all safety protocols.
Perform machine alignment using dial gauges and other professional alignment tools.
Identify, replace, or refurbish worn-out parts to maintain equipment efficiency.
Maintain meticulous daily task records, maintenance logs, and documentation of repair works.
Strictly follow industrial safety procedures, including lockout-tagout (LOTO) and permit systems.
Assist in the installation and commissioning process of new machinery on the shop floor.
Requirements:
Professional qualification of ITI or Diploma in Fitter/Mechanical trade is mandatory.
Minimum 5+ years of core experience as a Fitter within a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of industrial machines, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in workshop practices such as drilling, grinding, and welding.
Must be able to read and understand complex mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
