Skilled Slitting Machine Operator - Metals

• Operate industrial slitting machines for processing GI, Galvalume, and HR metal coils Ensure high-precision slitting according to specific width, thickness, and tolerance levels Manage coil loading, alignment, and feeding processes to maintain consistent production Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor technical issues independently Implement measures to minimize material wastage during the slitting cycle Conduct routine machine checks and perform basic preventive maintenance tasks Maintain accurate daily production logs and report output to the supervisor Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure all processed materials meet standards

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in operating slitting machines, preferably in steel Strong understanding of coil handling, thickness control, and slitting tolerances Prior experience working with materials like GI, Pre-GI, and Galvalume is a plus Basic technical education (ITI, Diploma, or Graduate) Willingness to work in rotating shifts as per manufacturing requirements Disciplined approach toward shop-floor safety and material handling norms
