Staff Software Engineer (Linux Kernel & Snapdragon

Join Qualcomms elite engineering group to define the future of mobile and edge computing by developing system-level software for next-gen Snapdragon chipsets. You will work on bleeding-edge ARMv9 architectures, optimizing Linux kernel performance to power world-class Android experiences.

• Develop and support advanced features in the Linux kernel to enable Android on Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipsets.
• Work directly with the latest ARMv9 CPUs and high-performance architectural features.
• Collaborate with power and performance teams to identify bottlenecks and implement kernel-level optimizations.
• Perform deep-dive crash analysis and debugging using tools like T32, gdb, and crash utilities.
• Design and maintain core tools for Linux kernel development, debugging, and long-term support.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex interfaces between hardware and software.
• Support and enable internal teams leveraging supported Linux kernel features for diverse product lines.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or ECE (Electronics & Communication).
• 3+ years of professional Software Engineering experience (or 2+ years with a Masters degree).
• Expert-level proficiency in C programming and a solid grasp of OS fundamentals and data structures.
• Proven expertise in Linux kernel subsystems such as Core Kernel, SMMU, Memory, or ARM subsystems.
• Hands-on experience with debuggers (T32, gdb) and performance tracing tools.
• Strong familiarity with development toolchains and version control systems.
• Prior experience in Android system-level development is highly desirable.
