Palo Alto Support Engineer (L1 Troubleshooting)

• Monitor Palo Alto firewalls and real-time security alerts to ensure network integrity.
• Perform L1 troubleshooting for firewall policies, VPN tunnels, and general connectivity issues.
• Analyze traffic logs and threat logs to identify potential security risks or anomalies.
• Escalate complex incidents to L2/L3 teams with detailed technical documentation.
• Assist in firewall rule management including additions, modifications, and deletions as per SOP.
• Conduct regular health checks and basic maintenance activities on security appliances.
• Adhere to standard incident, change, and problem management processes.
• Maintain accurate operational reports and ensure smooth shift handovers.

• Technical understanding of firewall architecture and VPN configurations.
• Basic knowledge of Palo Alto security platforms and threat analysis.
• Familiarity with network protocols and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in a production environment.
• Strong documentation skills and adherence to ITIL processes (Incident/Change management).
• Ready to work in a rotational shift environment if required.
