Skilled Slitting Machine Operator

• Operating various types of Slitting machines to convert paper, metal, or other materials into specific widths.
• Assessing the quality of raw materials and ensuring finished goods meet all technical specifications.
• Taking samples for analysis and conducting quality checks on semi-finished products.
• Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery using hand and power tools to ensure safe working order.
• Handling waste disposal by sorting scrap and slugs according to safety regulations.
• Packing finished manufactured products and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Training and supervising helpers on the shop floor as required.
• Maintaining accurate logs for production time, quantity, and shift-change communications.

• Solid hands-on experience in operating Slitters within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical ability to troubleshoot machinery and attend to urgent repairs.
• Basic literacy for maintaining log books and clear communication skills for shift transitions.
