SKF is seeking a skilled Assistant Manager (Heat Treatment) to lead operations at our Ahmedabad plant. This role involves managing metallurgical processes, optimizing furnace performance, and ensuring quality excellence in heat treatment activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage daily heat treatment production planning and furnace operations.
Perform metallurgical testing, microstructure analysis, and hardness testing.
Ensure compliance with ISO, OHSAS, and CQI9 audit requirements.
Lead failure analysis of parts and drive cost-reduction and safety initiatives.
Oversee team resource allocation, shift management, and employee training.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering.
6-8 years of hands-on experience in heat treatment operations.
Expertise in furnace process qualification, failure analysis, and lean KPIs.
Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and quality standards.
