Roles & Responsibilities:
Review medical charts to assign accurate CPT and ICD-10 codes for ED specialties
Ensure coding compliance with customer-specific guidelines and regulatory requirements
Achieve over 97% accuracy while meeting turnaround time benchmarks
Identify causes of claim denials and provide feedback to improve coding standards
Support billing and AR teams by performing edits as per coding initiatives
Requirements:
1 to 4 years of hands-on experience in medical coding
Specific expertise in Emergency Department (ED) Professional coding
Strong proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 guidelines
Active certification such as CPC or COC from AAPC is highly desired
Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of the US healthcare industry
