BananaIP Counsels is seeking a Patent Associate to join our premier Intellectual Property team in Bengaluru. This role offers an intellectually stimulating environment where you will work on cutting-edge mechanical and automotive technologies, helping innovators protect their inventions within a non-hierarchical and inclusive culture.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Draft comprehensive patent specifications and claims for mechanical and automotive inventions.
Prosecute patent applications effectively before the Indian Patent Office.
Conduct thorough prior art searches and detailed patentability analysis.
Perform freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis and draft technical legal opinions.
Manage client communications and provide technical consultations on IP strategy.
Requirements:
Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive, or a related engineering field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution.
Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and modern automotive technology.
Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical legal drafting.
Preference for Registered Patent Agents or candidates with an LLB degree.
