Junior Engineer, Software Test Automation

KLA is looking for a Junior Software Test Automation Engineer to join our global leader team in semiconductor manufacturing technology. You will build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright to ensure the highest quality for our mission-critical web applications and services.

• Analyze product requirements and architecture to define end-to-end automation strategies for web applications. Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and robust engineering patterns. Automate critical user flows and high-risk business paths, ensuring complete coverage across UI and backend data stores. Develop automated validations for Web Services and APIs, including contract and negative testing. Apply AI-assisted automation practices to improve script reliability and execution efficiency. Collaborate with global stakeholders to identify risks and define measurable acceptance criteria within the SDLC. Monitor automated test runs, analyze failures, and communicate quality trends to improve release decisions.

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum 2 years of experience for Bachelor s holders (0 years for Master s/Freshers from top universities). Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C/C++, or Perl. Familiarity with web UI testing concepts and automated testing frameworks. Experience with Linux commands, Visual Studio, and SQL databases (MySQL/Oracle) is preferred. Strong proactive attitude and fluency in English for global collaboration.
