Helius Technologies is looking for an experienced Data Scientist for a yearly renewable contract role. This is a great opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and distributed storage systems in a dynamic environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Developing production-ready code using Python and R for complex data processing tasks.
Managing and optimizing data ingestion techniques using AWS cloud tools.
Working with distributed storage technologies including HDFS, S3, and Ceph.
Monitoring system performance and managing alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, and Zookeeper.
Identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing proactive solutions for system improvement.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in the Data Science field.
Expertise in Python, R, Data Analytics, and Data Processing.
Proven experience with AWS Cloud Computing and related technologies.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Yarn, and resource management frameworks.
Practical knowledge of streaming systems, specifically Apache Kafka.
